Sharon Alt
Sharon Alt is President of Alt Benefit Consultants, Inc., Fort Worth, Texas. Her responsibilities include consulting for the design, implementation, and communication of Sec. 125 & Sec. 105 Plans, as well as overseeing the administrative services. She has over ten years of experience in the employee benefit industry. Sharon has been a member of ECFC (The Employer’s Council for Flexible Compensation) since 1992, and has been an invited speaker at several state and national association meetings and conferences, assisting in educating other TPA’s and businesses on the proper administration of Section 125, 105, & 223 Plans.
Sharon has written and taught several CE course on Section 125, 105, and 223 and has obtained the designation of CFCI (Certified in Flexible Compensation Instruction) from the ECFC, Washington DC.
She has also conducted several seminars for such organizations as Lorman Educational Services & CEBS (Certified Employee Benefit Specialists) throughout the state of Texas on Section 125 compliance issues.
She is the Past President of the Fort Worth Association of Health Underwriters from 2003 –2004 and currently holds the position of Region VI Media chair (AR, KS, LA, MO, OK, and TEXAS!) for the National Association of Health Underwriters.
Sharon is also the host of a weekly Internet Talk Radio show, “Inside Health Insurance in America” at www.voiceamerica.com.
Sharon has been married to Chris Alt for 24 years and they live in FW, Texas. They have 3 children and 4 grandchildren!
