The American College
RHU Registered Health Underwriter:
The RHU designation signifies that an individual working in the traditional health insurance marketplace or in the managed care industry has successfully completed a rigorous three-course program. The focus of the designation is to prepare professionals to advise clients on their health insurance needs. More than 7,500 RHUs have been awarded, including those granted by the College since assuming ownership of the designation from the National Association of Health Underwriters.
REBC Registered Employee Benefit Consultant:
The REBC designation signifies that an individual working in the employee benefits field has successfully completed a comprehensive five-course program. The number of electives provides an opportunity for individuals to specialize within the broader employee benefits field. The designation is especially suitable for professionals who are selling or servicing the group insurance, health insurance, retirement planning, and incentive compensation markets. More than 1,250 REBCs have been awarded, including those granted by the College since assuming ownership of the designation from the National Association of Health Underwriters.
The Center for Senior Studies CSS Certified Senior Specialist :
The Certified Senior SpecialistCSS Designation Program ties together all of the elements of senior planning for the very first time in a comprehensive program. The Center for Senior Studies, Inc. is dedicated to providing financial professionals with a strong foundation upon which to assist people in the 50+ market with all aspects of the financial and retirement planning process, from life insurance and annuities, to estate and trust planning, to long-term care insurance and government entitlement programs. The "Certified Senior Specialist CSS Designation Program is comprised of five Course modules.
The Cerrtified Senior Specialist" [ CSS® ] Designation is awarded after successful completion of all five Courses.
LTCIS Long Term Care Insurance Strategist
Successful Strategies for the Long-Term Care Market is a 28 hour course that is divided into ten distinct modules. The course includes subject materials including how to properly position a long-term care insurance policy in the overall planning process, how to design a benefit program, which type of products work the best for different types of clients, the tax consequences of long-term care for both individuals and employers, the roles that Medicare and Medicaid play in a long-term care situation, and solutions to use where insurance is not a viable planning option. Successful Strategies for the Long-Term Care Market could be the most important course you need to take in order to begin helping both America’s families as well as yourself to prepare for their financial futures.
Other Designations:
DIA Disability Income Associate
A DIA designation means that participants have acquired knowledge of the health care industry and the role of disability income insurance in protecting individuals from the financial losses that often attend serious physical injuries and other severe health afflictions. Upon completion of this course of study, students will understand the fundamentals of the health insurance industry, the role of disability insurance within the health care continuum, and recent disability trends.
